1901-1966
1901: Walter Disney was born in Chicago Illinois, on December 5.
1914-1918: Walter dropped out of school to serve in World War I.
1919-Returned to Kansas city to work as a commercial illustrator and later made crude animated cartoons.
1922- Disney had set up his own shop with Ub Iwerks, a man with drawing ability and technical skills.
1923-Disney went to Hollywood and with his brother Roy, he began producing Oswald the Rabbit cartoon for Universal Studios.
1925- Disney married Lillian Bounds, who helped him with his work.
1930- Disney made many successful short films such as "The Three Little Pigs".
1937-
Disney expanded his studio operations and made possible the production of the first feature-length cartoon,
Snow White.
1954- Disney succesfully invaded television.
1957- Walt opened Disneyland in Anaheim, California, the most successful amusement park in history.
1966- Walter Disney died December 15 in
Burbank, California, United States.
